Lime Kit adds your watermark as an Image Overlay. This ensures perfect sizing and rotation across all PDF viewers.

• Non-Selectable: The watermark is a graphic layer, not editable text, preventing accidental selection.
• Consistent Look: Prevents font-size glitches common in other tools.
• Removal: While harder to edit than plain text, advanced users can still remove image layers. We prioritize privacy and speed over DRM-level security.

Why isn't it permanent? To make a watermark truly unremovable, we would have to "flatten" the entire PDF into a pixel image. This would destroy text sharpness, disable links, and increase file size by 10x. We chose the overlay approach to keep your document high-quality. If there is enough demand for a "Secure Flatten" mode, we will add it in the future.
