How PDF compression works here
Most "compress PDF" sites upload your document to a server. Lime Kit doesn't: every page is rendered, re-encoded, and rebuilt into a new PDF entirely in your browser, so a contract, statement, or scan never leaves your device.
Pick Strong, Balanced, or Light — each trades a little image quality for a smaller file. Because pages are flattened to images, this shines on scanned or image-heavy PDFs (the usual reason a PDF is huge). It also means selectable text and links are baked in, so it's not the tool for a text document you still need to copy from.
If your file doesn't shrink, it's likely already text- or vector-based and is about as small as it gets — keep the original.
